When you go to the markets in the Philippines and also on other places like Greenhills in Manila, you can buy clothing and shoes and handbags from all well known (and expensive) brands like Gucci, Lacoste and Jordans, just to name a few; and for very low prices. For that low prices they cannot be real branded products, but have to be fake, pirated. I have been wondering where all these products are made; would it be local or imported.
Just surfing over the net, I came accross a website where you can post anything. One of the posts was a email from a factory in China offering all kinds of clothes of well known brands, shoes, handbags, toys, electrical equipment and a lot more.
I was checking the website mentioned in that ‘post’ and didn’t find prizes, but hundreds, no thousands of products from well known brands. Among them handbags, shoes, clothing, Barbie dolls, I-Phone, PSP and many more products.
In that post they are offering the following prizes:
Wholesale : price is: (Including transport costs )
Sport shoes : USD 29-34 /PR
Handbag : USD 29 /PC
Clothes : USD 10-45 /PC
Cellular telephone: USD 175 to 210 /PC
Reading this and checking the site I can not believe these are real product and must be the famous fake ones which are forbidden to sell in Europe and America, but here in the Philippines and maybe also in other countries it seems to be allowed !!!!
Shopping Center Greenhills is known for its many stalls selling handbags, shoes, shirts and much more. Most f them are fake branded. But they look like real. Only people who know the differences will see it. Prices are very low of these items, a second reason that the buyer will realize that this cannot be the real thing.
In Greenhills also a large section with pearls and other jewelry is present. If all pearls are real, I do not know. I am not an expert in this field. I am not an expert at all in fashion items. And there are several stalls selling all kinds of ‘branded’ watches.
But if you are going for cheaper and nice clothes, just look around and you will probably find what you are looking for. And do not forget to hassle. Sellers are doubling or tripling the prices for foreigners!
When you decide to buy a fake handbag or shoes, and you are travelling to your home country, be warned that customs might confiscate your new purchases.
