Dutch canon found in Manila
Also in Manila seedling bank I have found a rare Dutch Canon. I know from my histoty classes when I was young and still at school that the Dutch were a nation with lots of ships sailing around the world to trade. Especially in this part of Asia. They also fought several wars against the Spanish (that time ruling the Philippines) and the Japanese and Chinese.

The item looks very good and could have been found in a wrecked ship. If this is a genuine canon it could be an item what supposed to be kept in a museum. I took some pictures of it and decided to check at home what was to be known about it.

After being at home I have found out that the item is a copy, and not original. Check HERE. Nevertheless it is a nice piece and could be a nice decoration next to your front door . . . . .

Filipino time:

If you load it with cannister it would also discourage intruders. Nothing clears the decks like a nice shot of cannister.
no more mutiny
Exactly.
At Fort San Pedro in Cebu they have some real cannon on display. I believe they are Spanish. I never really looked closley.
hello jan,
Where did you find this? Who actually made the replica?
Hi,
read the article well. I found a website where it is stated that this is not a real one but a copy.
Manila Seedling bank is situated in Quezon City. One of the shop owners has this canon displayed.
